Do AI coding assistants actually save time or add another loop of waiting and fixing?

adds another loop is generous, its genuinely another debugging phase now. still faster than from zero but not the gamechanger marketing claims

the waiting loop is frustrating but i think in a year or two itll be genuinely faster, the tools are learning from all the fixing

adds time if you're writing basic stuff. speeds up if you're building something weird and need a starting point to refactor
